beefy goodness

Monday evening I made beef stroganoff for dinner. It was delish. I enjoyed it again for lunch today. Why don't I make dinner more often? I'm a better cook than i realize.

I've been writing blog entries in my mind during the past few weeks. I'm hoping to put some out there in as life slows down. That is assuming it slows down.

Tonight was an excellent bible study. We're studing Beth Moore's Breaking Free series. If you ever have the chance to do a Beth Moore bible study I strongly encourage you to leap at it.

Ev'rythin's up to date in Kansas City

I got to Kansas City on a Frid'y
By Sattidy I larned a thing or two
For up to then I didn't have an idy

They've gone about as fur as they c'n go!
They went and built a skyscraper seven stories high,
About as high as a buildin' orta grow.
Ev'rythin's like a dream in Kansas City,
It's better than a magic lantern show!
Y' c'n turn the radiator on whenever you want some heat.
With ev'ry kind o' comfort ev'ry house is all complete.
You c'n walk to privies in the rain and never wet your feet!

They got a big theayter they call a burlesque.
Fer fifty cents you c'n see a dandy show.
One of the gals was fat and pink and pretty,
As round above as she was round below.
I could swear that she was padded from her shoulder to her heel,
But latter in the second act when she began to peel
She proved that ev'rythin' she had was absolutely real!

As I walk around Kansas City, this song runs through my head. Not because its acurate, but just because its where I am. :)
The weather today sucked, it was grey, rainy, and cold. YUCK! I was in training most of the day and in between that we ate. There have been some good eats. Last night Andy and I discovered a place on the plaza called Mi Cocina. It had really good mexican food. Tonight we had a mission to find good bbq. We ended up at a place called Gates and had ribs. For desert we stopped at Cheesecake factory. Yum!

Tomorrow we are at training for the morning and then we take off for the airport in the afternoon. We arrive in Dulles around 10:45.

novemeber challenge

Its been awhile since I've done a 30day challenge. And its time to stop biting my nails. If i stop now, there is a chance they will be long enough to paint for the holidays.

Its a busy week, but so far so good. I think i'll survive. :)
