we were meant to live for so much more
That's an awesome song by Switchfoot. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what the more is, but i think its an excellent sentiment.
Thursday was the carnival at church. It was a lot of fun. Snaps to everyone who planned it and worked so hard to make it successful. Later that night Adam, Courtney, Dan and I had funado at Dave's Taverna. The reason we moved funado to Dave's was to hear Oscars Mad. They were very good again. There were lots of familiar people there. Jeremy hung out with us for awhile. Good times.
I think i've decided not to get a new car at this point. I think it would just be too many financial commitments. I haven't given up the idea completely, i just decided not to do it right now.
Saturday I had to work in the morning. In the afternoon Jesse and I headed out to Highland Retreat for a fundrasier dinner. Lots of yummy food. We hooked up with Amy, Audrey and Patty who had gone out earlier. Blue Mountain Sunrise played some folksey music. Jesse and I noticed a common theme of death in all the songs. It became laughable after the 10th song, so we left.
Sunday was pretty ordinary. I attended Alethia again. I really enjoy their music and the different preaching style is starting to grow on me. They have a rock band and the praise music is different than what Mennonites are usually sing. Let me know if you're interested in going along.
