shopping, shopping and yes more shopping
Today was awesome! Cathy, Jen and I went to Potomac Mills, Ikea, Manassas mall, and Olive Garden. I bought a couple sweaters at the Banana Republic outlet, shoes at Aerosoles, workout clothes at Target, and some lights at Ikea.

Part of what made the day fun was hangin with Jen & Cathy (the Lantz sisters). Jen can walk incredibly fast and shop for hours without stopping. Cathy will be your best friend for food, drinks or a foot rub. Neither of them had been to H&M. But that changed today. Not only do they have an H&M at Potomac Mills, they have one at the Manassas Mall. We also were at Old Navy twice. I'm telling you, it doesn't get any better.

My only complant would be about the traffic. It was awful. I hope Harrisonburg never becomes that crowded and busy.

The new year is closing in and it puts me in a contemplative mood. I have been thinking about the past year and what I want for the next. I'll write more about that later.

What day is it?
I'm enjoying the time off from work, but the days are starting to run together. So it was time for an evening of fun with my bud Jesse. We started with dinner at Ruby Tuesday. I had heard about their wonderful flavored lemonaid from Adam. I tried the kiwi lemonaid and it was good. After dinner we wandered around the mall, nothing too exciting. Next stop Circuit City. We checked out cds and I bought Simpsons Hit & Run. Stuart was there checking out cds and i got to catch up with him.

On our way to Barnes & Noble we met Andy Martin. He hung out with us during his break. I enjoy listening to him rant about the topic of the day. Today's topic was blogs and roomates who leave dirty and smelly dishes in the sink. I had a yummy verdi(large) caffe mocha, which wasn't very smart idea. I'm not used to having that much caffeine after dinner.

By this time we were ready for the main event: Paycheck. I enjoyed the movie a lot. There was action, suspense, romance, and 20 items.

No Saturday evening is complete without a trip to Wal-mart, so we went. Jesse got food at McDonalds and then we wandered around checking out the electronics. I know it doesn't sound super exciting, but it was good times.

I have been in a shopping mood. Does anyone want to go to Potomac Mils and Ikea? Let me know, I am determined to get there Monday or Tuesday.

Return of the Queen
Mom was released from the hospital today!

I've been working on the comments and it's working. Feel freel to add your thoughts and comments. I may find a better way to do this later. For those of you who enjoy techie stuff the comments are being hosted on another site. I will work on having them hosted on my site so that the look is more visually appealing.

Well its getting late and I've got non-techie stuff to get done.

School's Out for Christmas
I am so ready for a break... and now I have one. No more work until next year (Jan 2).

Mom should be released from the hospital tomorrow. That will be a happy day. Then we can begin the Christmas festivities. We decided not to exchange gifts this year. So Christmas will center around quality family time. We wilil do puzzles, games and watch movies. Dad will be making the Christmas breakfast caserole.

Ikea is having a winter sale. I have got to get there!

I got new cds today. The Rock & Roll Worship Circus is awesome!

I'm gonna work on setting up a blog that would allow you to leave comments. I am also working on getting some pictures posed. So check back soon!

Lord of the Rings
I finally saw it....and it is good!

I know some people didn't like the ending, but I thought it worked. I recommend the movie, especially if you saw the first two. Thanks Jesse for organizing it and Cathy for sharing your snacks.

One of the previews looked really good. It's called The Butterfly Effect. Its released Jan 23. I definately want to see it.

Saturday Morning Ramblings
Yay for Saturday! It's always nice to wake up slowly and hang out in bed drinking coffee and watching cartoons. Right now my favorite cartoons are Fillmore and Kim Possible. Fillmore takes place in a middle school and follows the safety patrol. They model it after police shows and solve crimes around the school. I love how they almost parody cop shows. Kim Possible is about a girl stops evil masterminds. It is sorta like a James Bond movie. If you like cartoons, I highly recommend either of these.

Last night I went to the Shenandoah Valley Choral Society Christmas concert. Snaps to Audrey and her gang for another good performance. We did the traditional Spanky's visit after the concert. I had some tasty spinach and artichoke dip.

It looks like there are some good movies coming out soon. The one I am excited about is Big Fish. Of course I usually like any movie that Ewan McGregor is in.

All I have planned today is hanging out with Mom at the hospital. Her surgery went well and the doctors are pleased. She has been in some pain, but they are working on finding the right medication.

Wednesday already, how can it be? We had a yummy Christmas lunch at Seventh Heaven. It was also cleaning day in the office. We got rid of a lot of junk. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make much progress on my desk. I'll work on it Friday.

This weekend I watched two of the Lord of the Rings movies. I was really impressed, they're good. I can't wait to see the third one. Looks like I'll see it on Saturday.

Tomorrow is Mom's surgery. Mike & I are planning to spend the day with Dad at the hospital. I'm planning to get caught up on my reading. We covet your good thoughts and prayers.

Today was another busy day at work. However not as busy as yesterday. I'm ready for things to slow down. Hopefully that will happen next week.

This evening was nice and relaxing. First I spent time hanging with Mom; good times. Then off to Lynley and Dan's for yummy food. Their apartment is really nice. With lots of neat furnishings and a pretty Christmas tree.

I'm really ready for the weekend. Spending time with MYF and small group.

Welcome to Jenniville

I finally reserved webspace, purchases a domain name, and signed up for a blog. So here is my first entry.

Today was busy, crazy and chaotic at work. It is definately a full moon. We were jumping from one problem to another. Hopefully tomorrow will be more calm.

I am really excited about how my kitchen and living room turned out. The colors are great and the Ikea furnishings are definately unboring. I couldn't have done it without the help of Adam and Courtney. Snaps to them. Also snaps to my painting crew: Dad, Jesse, Steven, and Kaitlin. It would have been overwhelming without you!

I can't wait to start on the downstairs bathroom and my bedroom. That will happen over Christmas break.

Well I guess thats enough for my first posting. Check back for updates from jenniville.
